  • When did you first decide to study and pursue a career in STEM?
I decided to have a career in the STEM field when I decided to study in the information systems department. It was all motivated by my love for mathematics since childhood, and often participated in various types of competitions related to mathematics, statistics, multimedia.

  • What drives you to study and pursue a career in STEM?
When I was deciding on my major in college, one of my lecturers who worked as a project manager motivated me to study and find or pursue a job in the IT field but in the managerial realm.
Another factor that encouraged me to pursue a career in the STEM field is my hope that when I grow up I want to explore the field so that when I graduate I can work in the type of job that matches the field I took during college. that way, based on the knowledge I already have, I want to be able to contribute to the advancement of technology in all industrial fields.
  • What tips can you give to women who are pursuing and working in STEM fields?
The most important thing is to have confidence that women also have unlimited abilities, as long as they believe that they can do it. I will never say I can’t. That’s what makes me continue to want to learn and explore so that the goals and objectives of what I develop are achieved. Never feel like you can’t, keep learning because by continuing to learn you will definitely find answers.
Indeed, for project managers themselves, leadership and communication skills are definitely needed. It can be honed, but certainly we must also have bonding with the team itself. Tips from me when joining a team don’t immediately organize or ask for this, the first step we can do is first observe how the character of each developer is so that when we give a job or work mechanism it can be right on target. The term is still maintaining respect from teammates but not only limited to leaders and members.
I believe that in every field, women are needed and we can give a touch that men cannot give. I don’t want to compete, but in the STEM world, women are needed because they complement each other. The female touch in question is so that in every field it is definitely not only focused on technical, here the role of women where they must have a character as a woman who is more thorough / more patient and also more systematic. So indeed in the STEM world between women and men can complement each other.
